This smooth French cheese is a great table cheese, great to be eaten in slices on a
sandwich, perfect for Croque Monsiuer, or as part of a cheese platter. It is an excellent melting cheese; usually used together with Emmenthal in preparing the traditional cheese fondue. With its rich, slightly nutty taste Gruyere is an ideal cheese to use when the recipe’s end result needs to be nice and creamy.
